  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Bananas
  • Greek Yogurt (or your favorite white yogurt)

Missing Smart Lunches’ Belgian Waffles on your day off? Make Festive Flag waffles this Independence Day to satisfy your taste buds! Simply follow the directions on the box of your waffle mix, or pop your favorite frozen waffles into the toaster. While the waffles are cooking, wash your fruit and cut the strawberries and bananas into small pieces. When the waffles are finished, top with the fruit in the pattern of an American flag. Use yogurt as a topping with the stripes or on the side as you like.

Serving Suggestion: Not a fan of yogurt? Top the waffles with whipped cream!

These fun toasts (named after the supposed creator of the American Flag) are a great way to start off your morning this Independence Day. Simply pop your favorite bread in the toaster.
