13 5-minute Elf on the Shelf Ideas

So it’s mid-December and you’ve already run out of clever Elf on the Shelf ideas. The month started off strong, but it’s hard to keep the momentum going in between holiday shopping, cooking, wrapping presents and every other thing on your to-do list.

Now’s the time when you’re probably  asking yourself why you even got this darn thing in the first place. It seems like it’s causing more conflict than compromise in your house. Maybe grandma accidentally touched the elf and your daughter cried all the way to school because “the magic is gone now!” Maybe you’ve had an all-out screaming match with your husband over whose turn it is to move the Elf.

Whatever it is, you don’t have that much time to think about and plan your Elf’s magical adventures. That’s why we’ve put together this list of ideas that will take you no more than 5 minutes (clean up included!)

1. Weight-lifting Elf.

Take two marshmallows and stick them on either end of a toothpick. Put Elfie by your own fitness equipment to be found.
